In which we become restaurant critics�

Geoff and I recently went to dinner at The Tavern at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA. My mom had given us a gift card for Christmas and we decided to bust it out on Saturday.

Our review, in four points:

1. The food is great.
   
   
2. The atmosphere is warm and classically tavern-ish.
   
   
3. The median age of the restaurant�s patrons is 74.
   
   
4. The service is slow, painfully slow, so slow that my husband made the following observation:
   
   �It�s amazing that there are so many old people here; they don�t have that much time left and this is what they�re doing with it?�
