Read this entry by Twisty: Study-du-jour: the calming hand of patriarchy.

My favorite line: �No male brains were studied, either, presumably because these were all engaged elsewhere, dreaming up new and clever ways to get grant money for jolting women with electrodes.�

Twisty kicks ass. Not only is she a fabulous writer and social critic, but she also has a golden retriever, Bert.* And that makes her okay in my book.

*Whenever I get really mad at young Walter, as I have been known to do a time or two or three, I think to myself, �At least he hasn�t caused me orthopedic trauma, yet.�
